Today’s Newsletter is about connecting with our wildly wise inner Essence and how hardship often creates our most profound Facets of Wisdom. I’m including an Audio Practice at the end that you could use in your daily life to help you receive deeper insight and answers.
We are moving up on our inner Tree of Life and will focus on the Trunk of our inner Tree which to me metaphorically represents our inner Essence.
I feel so fortunate that I’m living among Trees. I try to go into the forest every day and stop frequently next to a Tree that I feel drawn to.
I feel in so much awe being among these majestic giants and feel deeply touched by the younger Trees that are filled with fresh growth.
Living among Trees feels so healing to me and we can connect with them wherever we are. You could close your eyes now, use your wild imagination and imagine leaning against the Trunk of a Tree in nature. And then you could tune in and ask yourself how this makes you feel.
Leaning against the Trunk of a Tree feels magical to me. I can feel its majestic calming presence and while being in my wild Heart I can feel the history of the tree within its Trunk.
The rings within the Tree Trunk tell us how old a Tree is and what kind of weather the Tree encountered each year.
Every Tree has its own story to tell and the Trunk is the story keeper. It’s the keeper of its experiences.
The Trunk of our inner Tree metaphorically represents our Core, our Essence.
Within our Essence are all of our life experiences. Every experience adds to our inner and outer growth and creates a new Facet within us.
Symbolically speaking these Facets are the rings of our inner Trees growth.
Our inner Facets are our inner wisdom which got created through the experiences we have had. They tell the story of who we are.
It’s easy to embrace and honor the inner Facets which came to us effortlessly. They are the lovely, fun and comfortable stories of our life.
It’s different with the inner Facets which we gained because of difficulties and hardship. To me they are the most precious ones, the ones that leave a permanent imprint. They go deep and create our most profound wisdom.
These hard earned inner Facets often leave scars in the bark of our Tree Trunk. They are our inner and outer wrinkles and lines and show the world the depth of our experiences and wisdom.
We all have stories of hardship.
Growing up with a narcissistic father, put tremendous pressure on me and I had to learn to take special care of myself to heal from the abuse. I have permanent inner scars from these experiences AND they created a wild resilience within me.
I became aware of and developed Facets from these painful life experiences that I wouldn’t have been conscious of without having experienced this hardship.
One of the Facets that I had to become aware of and develop, is my ability to set crystal clear boundaries.
As a child I was not allowed to have any boundaries and was separated from my Essence. As a teenager the pressure built up more and more and I realized that without boundaries I would permanently loose my Self.
And as an adult I found my way back to my Essence and metaphorically connected with my inner Tree Trunk, the magical inner place of Wisdom and Light.
I realized that staying connected to my Essence and emanating Light and Wisdom is the most awesome way to keep toxic people out of my space.
My inner scars taught me valuable lessons and are my reminders to shine my inner light brightly and keep the physical and energetic intruders out.
I gained my empowering boundary Facet through hardship and I know that without having gone through all those painful experiences I wouldn’t be able to set such clear boundaries.
Boundaries are one of my most favorite topic and I will write more about how to set and own boundaries from the Wildness within our Hearts in future Newsletters.
You could take a few moments now and think of times when hardship formed you and you became aware of and developed a Facet which became one of your greatest strengths.
Just like a diamond forms under pressure, so do we at times.
So today I would like to remind you that within you is a wealth of experience and wisdom, a multi-faceted diamond, and that you can consciously connect with your inner Facets within your Essence, the Trunk of you inner Tree.
I will share a practice I’m using in my daily life which helps me access the wise Facet which serves me most in a situation.
I use it when I’m looking for a resolution, when I feel stuck, when I need an uplift.
You could use your wild imagination and imagine your Tree Trunk with all its many many Rings. Every Ring represents one of your Facets.
Depending on a situation we need to use a different inner Facet.
Sometimes we need courage to speak our truth, to cut cords, to move forward, to see the higher perspective, to be vulnerable, to take a break etc.
We have a treasure chest of inner wise Facets that we can connect to within ourselves.
I suggest that you first use the wisely empowering Practice below when you are in a safe quiet space. When you are more familiar with it, you can use it anytime during the day.
Prompts
As always these Prompts are only suggestions.
Here is the written version of this empowering practice to access your wise inner Facet:
You could sit down in a comfortable nurturing space with your feet on the floor and connect with Mother Earth.
Feel your Roots reaching deep down into the Core of Mother Earth and feel her grounding, supportive Presence.
And then imagine yourself using your inner wild awareness that you are standing in front of your inner Tree of Life.
Imagine yourself walking up to your inner Tree until you feel yourself standing in front of the Trunk of your Tree.
Maybe your Tree Trunk is slender or huge. It’s your special inner Tree and it might change every time you practice this.
And then imagine that you are walking so close to your Trunk that you can lean against it and hug it.
And then stay with this experience and tune into your Tree Trunk, your Essence.
Feel into your Essence and connect with the many, many magical inner Facets that are within your Essence.
And then ask your Essence to fill you with the Facet that you need right now.
Maybe you have a specific question, need a resolution or uplift. Trust that you receive exactly what you need right now.
And then you could thank your Essence and the inner Facet and keep the Wisdom and Wildness with you, when you slowly come back into the present moment and the chair or sofa you are sitting on.
Open your eyes and start looking at your life through your inner wise Facet and see what answers come intuitively to you.
